I train staff at NPR and its member stations in editorial topics (headlines, digital writing, accuracy, etc.) and on tools (like the public media CMS). Full disclosure: This photo is five years old.

I lead trainings — and my slide decks aren't boring.

I write and edit instructional (but always fun) site posts.

I create guides that people will want to pin on their cube walls.

Beloved student media advisor abandons university for NPR

Lecturer of journalism Holly J. Morris is leaving the University of North Georgia, where she taught four classes at three campuses.

In her time at UNG, she advised the student newspaper, the Vanguard; taught social media, multimedia journalism, reporting and writing, and the newspaper workshop; and supervised individual internships. She departed with an award for Outstanding Student Advisor, and continued to mentor students after her tenure.

What I Did for 13 Years

At The Washington Post, I ran the features sections of Express, the free daily. I managed up to nine writers and editors, plus freelance writers and photographers. I also supervised the website and worked on the development teams for two mobile apps. Plus: I wrote the popular daily celebrity and strange news pages.
